Jimmy D. trio?

Jimmy D. Rogers has announced that he indeed has been putting together a band to promote his upcoming effort Break Even. Though mum is the word on the lineup our understanding is that the group will be a trio and that Rogers may make his first appearance in September at his upcoming performance at Bar-B-Q Junction in Middletown. Jimmy D. has kept himself busy since wrapping sessions for his debut Alpha Dawg release and when we say busy we mean busy. JDR has won the Cincinnati Blues Challenge and will head to Memphis after the first of the year to perform in the International Blues Challenge, has stayed busy with side projects The Cleavers and is currently playing guitar for a Johnny Cash Tribute Band. That's right we said Johnny Cash! Rogers, whom is a huge fan of rockabilly, was recently spotted in the audience at The Junction watching supergroup and rockabilly allstar band Jerry King & The Rivertown Ramblers.

Break Even is expected for release this Winter and features Jimmy's diverse brand of roots fusion as well as a literal who's who of Cincy and Dayton blues scene's adding their two cents. Stay tuned for more info and visit the Bar-B-Q Junction website's Events section for future performance dates.
