Jay Brunner says "Kiss Goodnight"

Maestro Jay Brunner has had his hand in more cookie jars than Cookie Monster and has come forward with yet another tasty morsel for his latest efforts. Brunner, who's mainstay is Johnny B. and The Gravediggers, spent a portion of his Summer vacation recording a new solo effort according to ADR Prez R.Hoffman. The new effort entitled Kiss Goodnight is a focused look at ambient music according to Johnny B. himself and features the maestro on all instruments with the exception of track "Adagio Blue" cowritten by Robert Hoffman, whom also cut the vocal, and Uncle Daddy alum Keith Bower on saxophone. The track was remixed and remastered for Brunner's newest effort and is among several on the album that are fresh looks at older non-released cuts from previous projects. "I picked just a few instruments and focused on making a great project with just those instruments," the multi instrumentalist said of the session work for Kiss Goodnight. The self recorded and self produced project was handed to the Alpha Dawg himself (R.Hoffman) on Thursday afternoon for his previewing pleasure and Hoffman promises to tell us a little more about the project in coming weeks. Fans can check out Kiss Goodnight at Brunner's official CD Release party in September and can tune into radioADR in August to hear select cuts as well. Stay tuned for more info.
