Drummer extraordinaire Tim Barton will join the roster of talented performers putting finishing touches on Jimmy Rogers' debut Alpha Dawg effort Break Even. Barton, whom has played with the likes of Little Milton among other legendary performers, heads into the Brookwood Garage Studio later this month to record drums on several tracks. Uncle Daddy's Rick Faul performed drums on several tracks and among other notables include Jay Brunner, whom will cut several bass tracks, Bad Bob Logsdon and Keith Lewis, both performing guitar duties, background singers, horn players and bears "Oh My"! An amazing roster of talent for an incredible project. Jimmy laid down tracks for the effort just after the first of the year and basically recorded the release in twelve days. "He has an amazing discipline," producer and engineer R. Hoffman said of the pianosmith. Break Even is scheduled for release later this year but fans can tune into radioADR to hear demo cuts from the effort right now.
